Khathide “Tshatha” Ngobe, a controversial presenter on Ukhozi FM, has said that the Jehovah’s Witnesses prevented him from voting in the country’s elections owing to their views.
As a result, the Woza Nabangani Bakho (WNB) afternoon drive show host has never cast a ballot for his preferred candidates at the municipal, provincial, and national levels of government.
Ngobe initially criticized Serena Williams for her recent baptism as a Jehovah’s Witness, stating that she had made a mistake.
“Jehovah’s Witnesses forbid congregation members from engaging in politics. “Next year will be my first-time voting,” Tshatha stated in response to his colleague Nolwazi Machi’s social media post about Williams’ baptism.
Since 2004, when he was 22 years old, however, Ngobe has missed four straight national elections.
Bright Masumpa, a fan of Ngobe, seems stunned by the information.
“My sibling MC” You were not permitted to vote? You are finally released from prison. I am delighted for you.”
Insika Yethongo made a controversial remark on religion, asserting that it is harmful because every religious belief has both positive and negative aspects.
“Religion is perilous, and Shembe has its own crises.”
When a pastor refused to officiate at his cousin’s burial, Ngobe abruptly deserted this religion.
Two years ago, in a live interview with BK Mchunu, he disclosed all the reasons for his departure from Jehovah’s Witnesses.
South Africa will hold its next general election in 2024 to elect leaders for the national and provincial governments.
Eugene Naidoo, one of the leaders of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, stated that he could not comment on the situation because he was no longer stationed in Durban.
“Since I have migrated to Johannesburg, I cannot discuss such a thing with you, but I will refer the topic to the church.
“I kindly ask for some time so that the board of directors can respond.”
