Today, a humiliated Nicola Sturgeon revealed that Isla Bryson will be transferred from a female prison to a male prison.
The First Minister of Scotland rejected four times to deny the transgender double rapist’s continued detention in the all-female Cornton Vale jail in Stirling before to his February 28 sentencing.
However, she implied that Bryson, who was born a man, still has a penis, and only began transitioning after being charged with rape, would be transferred to a male prison within the next 72 hours based on a risk assessment conducted by the Scottish Prison Service.
Isla Bryson will not remain in women’s jail, as announced by Nicola Sturgeon in a statement to the Scottish Parliament today.
Isla Bryson, 31, who was formerly known as was convicted of raping two women while a male.
She told the Scottish Parliament, “I don’t believe a rapist can be housed in a women’s prison.”
“Risk evaluation is under progress. However, like in all situations, the Scottish Jail Service will not wait for an evaluation to be completed if they believe immediate action is necessary, and this prisoner will not be housed in Cornton Vale women’s prison.
Regarding the interim position and how the condition I described would be accomplished, I must be cautious of allowing the Scottish Prison Service to perform their operational duties effectively.
