One person was hurt on Black Friday in North Carolina.
Police in Lumberton, North Carolina received reports of gunfire on Black Friday and found frenzied customers fleeing the store.
As the business was evacuated, officers searched for the shooter and any casualties.
Surveillance footage showed the gunman escape as people left the establishment.
Details of the shooter and victim’s connection were not released.
The gunman eluded police.
Minutes after arriving, officers learned a shooting victim was at UNC Health Southeastern.
Non-life-threatening injuries were sustained. Police haven’t revealed their identify.
“This looks to be an isolated occurrence between two friends,” police stated.
Police have identified the suspect, but they’re still looking for him. Suspect’s name is withheld.
The Lumberton Police Department is not aware of any other customers or employees who were injured.
This comes days after a gunman killed six Walmart employees in Virginia.
Walmart manager Andre Bing shot and killed his colleagues in the store’s break room just after 10 p.m. Tuesday.
