Last year, Oprah Winfrey underwent “double knee surgery.”
The 68-year-old television personality has disclosed that she underwent two surgeries in the past year, but she is now resolved to be as active as possible.
She told Oprah Daily: “I had knee surgery on both knees last year. I had knee surgery in August, followed by knee surgery again in November.
“The first time I returned home, I literally could not lift my leg. I was unable to elevate my heel off the bed, and I resolved that if I was ever able to stand, walk, and move again, I would make the most of movement, exercise, and being able to be fully in my body.

During her recovery from surgery, Winfrey disclosed that she gained an interest in hiking.
And the television icon, who owns her own production company, now views her body differently.
She is best known for anchoring the popular talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on television. She stated, “As I was recovering, I began hiking. I made daily efforts to hike and do more.
My appreciation for each and every organ and limb has grown enormously.
In the meantime, fellow television personality Ricki Lake shared that she would love to have Winfrey on her new podcast series.
The 54-year-old actress has a new series titled “Raised by Ricki,” and she has acknowledged that Winfrey would be one of her ideal guests for the show.
Lake, who had her own talk program from 1993 until 2004, stated, “I’m not holding my breath. However, she would be fantastic.
“After all, why not? We’re probably going to ask.”
