After accidently spilling windshield wiper fluid on the murderer’s BMW while returning from the beach, an Oregon father-of-two was shot and killed by the driver.
The Oregonian stated that Dennis Anderson, 45, a father of two teenage kids and a stepson, was out with Brandy Goldsbury, his girlfriend of 18 years, when they were targeted by a man driving a black BMW 3 Series automobile.
The BMW, according to Goldsbury, 46, was attempting to pass them as Anderson sprayed windshield wiper fluid over his windshield. Some of the fluid, according to Goldsbury, may have gotten on the other car, enraging the driver.
The 3 Series passed them without issue, they believed.
The pair was frightened to see the automobile start after them as they passed when they later noticed it stopped on the side of the road.
According to Goldsbury, the driver of the sports vehicle chased the group on Highway 18 and started firing rounds, hitting Anderson in the process.
“Oh my gosh, they shot me,” was the last thing Dennis said, according to Goldsbury.
When I reached him, blood was pouring from his mouth.
Now that her boyfriend has been murdered, Goldsbury is pleading for assistance, and friends and relatives have started a GoFundMe page to aid the bereaved family.
She said that when they saw the BMW parked on the side of the road, they had just arrived at a rest stop on their way home to Tigard.
‘We drove by it, and then it got behind us,’ Goldsbury told the local outlet. ‘And then when the lanes started to turn to one again, the car started driving really close to the back of us almost like it was going to hit us.
‘And then it would go into oncoming traffic and kind of swerve towards us, like trying to push us to the side of the forest.’
After Anderson was shot and the suspect fled the area, Goldsbury claimed she was able to contact 911 and signal other cars for assistance.
She said that a kind stranger came to Anderson’s rescue and assisted with CPR until paramedics arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at the site.
The suspect was described as a small, 25-year-old guy with a medium complexion and short dark hair by police, who are currently looking into the incident.
Goldsbury, an Oregon Health & Science University medical assistant who was mourning the loss of her husband, praised Anderson as a compassionate and loving parent who also took her kid from a previous marriage under his wing.
Goldsbury told the Oregonian that the man was “one of those pushover parents.” They would make outlandish requests, and he would always say “no,” but when I turned around, he would be making the request come true.
In order to spend more time with his girls, Anderson recently left a career as a pharmacist to work as a part-time pizza delivery driver, according to Goldsbury.
The goal of the family was to purchase a home in Lincoln City, the location of Anderson’s preferred hamburger joint.
Anderson, a native of Massachusetts, met Goldsbury after meeting in an internet chatroom, and while travelling across the nation to visit her, she fell in love with Oregon.
She claimed that after initially freaking out at his unexpected and amazing accomplishment and urging him to go home, she suddenly changed her mind.
Goldsbury said, “And then he came back, and then he never left.”
The public is being urged by Goldsbury and the police to assist in finding the perpetrator of the senseless killing.
Goldsbury told KGW 8, “They need to understand what they did and how they impacted not only myself and my family but also our community.”
