Orumba Forum, a body of eminent sons of Orumba North and South Local Government Areas of Anambra state, has congratulated the State Governor-elect, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on his deserved success at the 6 November 2021gubernatorial election in the State.
In a statement issued at the end of their 2022 first quarter meeting held in Lagos on Saturday 5 February 2022, the Forum commended Soludo for his proven sterling leadership qualities and laudable achievements in public service, adding that he is the best material to lead Anambra state.
The statement which was jointly signed by the President of the Forum, Mr Nnamdi Okonkwo and the Secretary, Mr Bigger Ibekwe, also recalled Prof Soludo’s issues-based campaigns and realistic and inspiring manifesto that won him the polls.
Orumba Forum pledged their unalloyed support to the Governor-elect and his incoming Administration, as the renowned professor of Economics assumes office on 17 March 2022.
The Forum also assured the incoming Administration of its willingness to collaborate with it in the pursuit of the very laudable programs contained in their manifesto, especially in the area of youth engagement and empowerment.
At the well attended meeting, hosted by its new President, Mr Okonkwo, the Forum also mapped out its activities and initiatives for 2022 and beyond, particularly to align with the vision and mission of the Soludo Administration, of making Anambra state a “liveable megacity”.
The Forum’s 2022 first quarter meeting which was also attended by some of its Patrons, including Chief Raymond Obieri, Chief Sylvarius Okoli, among others, also resolved to partner with the incoming Administration of Prof Soludo in the overall development of the State.
