Paul Pelosi and his wife Nancy make public appearance

According to reports, Paul Pelosi and his wife Nancy made a public appearance at Balthazar for lunch on Thursday, and it seems that the 82-year-old is doing well.

Paul had been hit on the head with a hammer during a home invasion last October and had to undergo skull surgery.

However, the couple appeared to be in good spirits and even walked past a fellow diner on their way to their table.

The diner mentioned that Paul appeared to be wearing a hat to cover a scar.

The Balthazar source also added that both Paul and Nancy looked happy to be out and about.

The couple seems to frequent the restaurant, as they were also seen there in January.

Harper’s Magazine owner John Rick MacArthur and editor Lake Micah were also spotted at the scene.

Paul made his first public appearance after the attack in December at the Kennedy Center Honors.

This recent appearance at Balthazar seems to be a positive sign that he is recovering well.

Nancy had previously mentioned that it could take months before he returns to normal.

The San Francisco Police Department arrested the assailant, David DePape, at the scene.

He has been charged with attempted homicide, among other crimes.

It was reported that the couple appeared to have extra security during their lunch at Balthazar.
