Pitso Mosimane awarded the 2022 Ubuntu Sports Diplomacy Award

Pitso Mosimane has been was awarded the 2022 Ubuntu Sports Diplomacy Award after excelling abroad with Egyptian soccer giants Al Ahly at the sixth annual Ubuntu Awards which took place on Saturday night in Cape Town and the South African soccer fraternity was well represented by legendary coach Pitso Mosimane.
Pitso Mosimane’s managing agency MT Sports has taken to social media to confirm his off-field victory at the 2022 Ubuntu Awards evening.

The legendary South African coach looks set to sign a new deal at Al Ahly with his current contract coming to an end in June 2022.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns mentor is on the verge of concluding a bumper new contract that will see him earn approximately R2.5 million a month.

“Al Ahly made Pitso Mosimane a good deal, and I believe that it’s now up to him. He previously said that he wants to keep the position,” Ahmad Shobeir said.
“I believe Mosimane wants to stay at Al Ahly, but negotiations between the club and his agent are still ongoing. Al Ahly’s offer is between $160,000 and $165,000 (R2 491 919), with a three-month penalty clause.”

Since joining the Egyptian giants, Pitso Mosimane has already won back-to-back CAF Champions League titles. He also won both the league and Cup titles since arriving in Egypt.
