Police on the move to investigating report on Spanish women being injected with date-rape drugs.

The first alleged needle attack was reported by a Spanish woman partying in Ibiza, but police are now looking into at least 35 cases across the nation following a wave of similar reports.

Britons on vacation in Spain’s party hotspots have been cautioned about a recent wave of women receiving date-rape medication injections.

The first incident was recorded in Ibiza, but partygoers have now come forward to claim they were also attacked in Navarra, San Fermin, and Catalonia on the Spanish mainland.

Police have initiated 17 investigations in the past several days and are currently looking into at least 35 of these allegations.

It comes after numerous instances of this kind were made public in the UK, Switzerland, and France beginning in the winter of last year.

Police add that the suspected victims are typically female and younger than 30 years old, but at least one man has claimed to have been injected.

One of the initial occurrences was reported to the Civil Guard by a young Spanish woman.

She claimed that after having a good time with her companions in an Ibiza nightclub, she discovered a puncture in her arm and came to the conclusion that she had been given drugs against her consent.

Because liquid MDMA, often known as ecstasy, or GHB have a short half-life in the body, researchers believe these chemicals might be utilized to intoxicate individuals.

They can be given orally or via dilution into the victim’s beverage, but the one that is now gaining popularity is injection.

The attackers employ this technique and decide whether to give the substance to the victim with their arms or legs.

According to one specialist, the medicine starts working in the victim’s body 15 minutes after they feel the prick.

The young women who have just had the punctures have spread the word through social media by disclosing their symptoms so that other women who are in a similar situation can take the necessary action as soon as possible.

The most common ones include lightheadedness, blurred vision, memory loss, difficulty speaking, numbness in the arms or legs, sleepiness, loss of consciousness, and a rapid heartbeat.

Investigators think the goal is to render victims helpless before to a sexual attack.

Police in Andalusia have confirmed that they are looking into six complaints, including one from a 22-year-old French woman who claimed to have been mistreated in a Malaga nightclub.

She claims to have gone to a man’s apartment after leaving the club with him.

She awoke the following morning with two puncture wounds in her arm and assumed that she had been drugged and attacked “while defenseless.”

Police in Cordoba are looking into four alleged attempts to submit chemicals at a fairground.

Up to 20 complaints have been made in nightclubs in Barcelona and Lloret de Mar in Catalonia (Girona).

According to Montserrat Escudé, a representative for the Los Mossos police, they are actively looking into this new “phenomenon,” which they claim causes “social worry” and “anguish” for young people trying to have fun during pandemic lockdowns.

Five attendees of a beach festival in Santander suffered punctures, and this is being looked into by the Cantabrian National Police.

What was intended to be a night out with friends has turned into a nightmare, into terror and anxiety, said one young woman who saw a man with a syringe in his hand before a friend was poked.

The only thing left to do at this point is to make it visible because there isn’t much else we can do.

Because it could have been you, learn to take action and, regrettably, adopt the fear.

Since last night, I have been scared and frightened, and I don’t know how to control it.

When my eyes are closed, I can still see the circumstance, which I wish I could forget.
