As one of the four pages assisting the monarch, he expressed concerns about the uniform to be worn during the ceremony.

The nine-year-old prince did not want to wear white knee breeches, a garment that men had worn from the 16th century to the early 19th century.

He feared being made fun of at school if he wore tights.

As a result, King Charles agreed with his grandson, and the breeches and tights were replaced with trousers.

The monarch had already decided to replace his own breeches with naval trousers.

Over the weekend, thousands of people in the UK volunteered in their local communities as part of the Big Help Out event, which marked the official crowning of King Charles.

On Monday, Prince George was spotted at a volunteer event helping to renovate the 3rd Upton Scouts Hut in Slough, along with his siblings Charlotte and Louis.

In a statement, King Charles and Queen Camilla expressed their gratitude to everyone who joined in the celebration over the weekend.

They paid tribute to the countless people who gave their time and dedication to ensure the celebrations in London, Windsor, and further afield were as happy, safe, and enjoyable as possible.

They thanked everyone who joined in the celebrations at home, street parties and lunches, or by volunteering in communities.

Prince William revealed that his children were “so tired” after the Coronation weekend that he was concerned that he would have trouble getting them up for school on Monday.

The Royal family appreciated the support and kindness expressed in so many different ways during the celebrations.

They rededicated their lives to serving the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms, and Commonwealth.
