Prince Harry asserts in his recently released memoir “Spare” that he was never the best man at Prince William’s 2011 wedding and that the position was a media farce.
According to the Daily Mail, Prince Harry was the official best man and drove with then-Prince Charles and Prince William to Westminster Abbey that day in a Bentley.
The traditional speech during the reception, however, was delivered by two of Prince William’s closest friends, James Meade and Thomas Van Straubenzee.
Prince William met and greeted individuals who had gathered on the Mall near Buckingham Palace while “tipsy on last night’s rum” just hours before his wedding to Kate, according to Harry.
Harry asserts that he told his brother, “You smell like alcohol,” before offering him mints as he dropped the car’s windows.

The release date for “Spare” in the United States is January 10. Since the book was accidentally launched in Spain three days ago, extracts have began leaking out.
The memoir is dedicated to Meghan Markle, Harry’s wife, and their children Archie and Lilibet, as well as his late mother, Princess Diana.
