Tuesday marked the beginning of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s reign as Prince and Princess of Wales.
After ascending to the throne, King Charles III bestowed upon Prince William the title of Prince of Wales, which he retained for decades.
In addition, Charles declared that his daughter-in-law Kate would become Princess of Wales. Since Princess Diana, nobody has had the title.

According to a Kensington Palace press statement, the couple first visited Anglesey, Wales, where they lived for the first three years of their marriage, which is one reason they “have a strong fondness for Wales.”
During the tour, the two individuals visited with members of the RNLI Holyhead Lifeboat Station and were greeted by a little kid carrying a bouquet of flowers.
He and Kate appeared thrilled to meet one another.
