Prince William met with Vice President Biden on Friday after being welcomed to Boston by the Kennedys, the actual American royalty.
The two men spent 30 minutes together at the JFK Library, where William, 40, praised Biden, 80, for attending Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September despite protestors in the backdrop. Reportedly, the couple exchanged fond recollections of the king.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson described the meeting with Vice President Joe Biden as “warm, friendly, and substantive,” adding that the president was “keen to learn” about the prince’s environmentally focused Earthshot Prize — which will be awarded on Friday night — and the stories of the finalists, including the Great Bubble Barrier, a 2022 finalist in the “Revive Our Oceans” category.
The statement stated that William revealed his worldwide and long-term goals for the Prize.
It was their fourth meeting in the preceding 18 months, including COP26 in Cornwall, England, where Camilla remembered Biden farting loudly.
Biden, wearing an overcoat suitable for Boston’s frigid weather, asked William, who was just wearing a suit, “Where’s your overcoat?” when they met along Boston Harbor.
However, they were met by demonstrators shouting “f–k the Royal family” and “Joe Biden is a scab” in the background. The protestors brandished placards and hoisted banners in reference to a Thursday Senate decision that rejected proposals to grant seven days of sick leave to railroad workers.
Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, along by her daughters Tatiana and Jack Schlossberg, welcomed Prince William at the JFK Library.
On Thursday, Vice President Joe Biden signed the bill into law, and Railroad Workers United leader Nick Wurst told the Daily Mail, “In regards to the Royal Family, the funny answer would be that we booted you guys out in 1776.
“I would advise Joe Biden and Prince William to be vigilant. Workers in the United States and the United Kingdom are preparing to fight back against unfair treatment. The struggle continues.”
In 1965, Caroline, her mother Jackie Kennedy, and her brother John F. Kennedy Jr. visited with Queen Elizabeth.

The Independent Socialist Group’s Claire Bayler told the Mail that Prince William and the Royal family are “complicit in the exploitation of workers in the United Kingdom and the United States.”
William was alone while his wife Kate proceeded on her first solo engagement of the couple’s US tour: a visit to Harvard University. He told the gathering that he was inspired to create his environmental award by John F. Kennedy’s Moonshot, which challenged the United States to land a man on the moon.
In 1961, at Buckingham Palace, were Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, President John F. Kennedy, and Jackie Kennedy.
The Prince of Wales was initially received at the library by Caroline Kennedy, daughter of John F. Kennedy, and her daughters Tatiana and Jack Schlossberg.
Ambassador Kennedy, who currently serves as the US Ambassador to Australia, is the honorary president of The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, which is a host partner for the glitzy Earthshot Prize ceremony on Friday — and she attended the Celtics game on Wednesday night with William and Kate.
Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales, will depart Boston following the awards ceremony on Friday evening.
She gave him a tour of exhibits from the pivotal years of the Kennedy Administration in the 1960s, prior to the 1969 moon landing – including a signed photograph of Queen Elizabeth from 1961, remarking, “there’s the one from your grandmother” as William smiled.
Intriguingly, Kennedy’s cousin, Kerry Kennedy, will award the Kennedy ‘Ripple of Hope’ Award to William’s brother, Prince Harry, and his bride Meghan Markle for combating racism within the royal family, accusing the monarchy of “institutional racism” the following week.
