Anton Du Beke Pays Emotional Tribute to Late Strictly Star Len Goodman
Anton Du Beke’s Emotional Tribute to Len Goodman
During his show, “An Evening with Anton Du Beke,” the Strictly Come Dancing professional turned judge paid an emotional tribute to his old friend and former Strictly head judge, Len Goodman.
Du Beke became teary-eyed as he performed a Slow Foxtrot in honour of Goodman and told the audience that he was the benchmark for all the judges.
Valuing Goodman’s Advice
Du Beke had known Goodman for 40 years and had even been judged by him as a young boy.
He valued his comments above everyone else’s because Goodman knew exactly what he wanted to do.
Du Beke said that he tried to take Goodman’s advice, which was, “Be yourself and say what you see.”
Goodman’s Death and Cancer Battle
Goodman, who was Strictly’s head judge from 2004 to 2016, passed away on Saturday at the age of 78 due to bone cancer.
According to reports, Goodman kept his diagnosis under wraps during filming, which shocked his Dancing With The Stars co-stars.
He had previously battled prostate cancer in March 2009 and underwent surgery for a small facial melanoma in September 2021.
