»Rep. Jim Jordan’s investigation will concentrate on FBI connections with Twitter«
Rep. Jim Jordan told The Washington Post in an exclusive interview that his forthcoming probe into the “weaponization” of the Department of Justice will focus on a cache of information supplied by the FBI to Twitter just hours before The Post reported stunning findings about Hunter Biden.
On October 13, 2020, Special Agent Elvis Chan sent ten documents to Twitter’s head of Trust and Safety, Yoel Roth, via the one-way communications channel Teleporter.
“Elvis Chan and Yoel Roth were communicating directly,” Jordan stated. “One of the things we’d like access to are the pre-election Teleporter-based communications,” the author writes.
Twitter executives used the FBI’s alleged guidance at the time as reason for banning The Post’s exposé of Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop just weeks before the 2020 presidential election.
He noted that Chan will certainly be brought before Congress as well. Certainly one of the individuals with whom we wish to speak.

This session will be extremely busy for the obstinate Republican from Ohio. In addition to his position as chairman of the influential House Judiciary Committee, it is widely anticipated that he will lead the new subcommittee investigating FBI and DOJ weaponization.
He expects to play a role as a member of the House Oversight Committee in their separate investigation of President Biden and son Hunter.
Fox News reported on Friday that Jordan initiated a new probe into President Biden’s mishandling of secret documents through the Judiciary Committee.
“I just know the obvious. Clinton mishandled secret documents, and Biden mishandled clarified materials, but President Trump is the only one whose home is raided,” Jordan fumed.
Jordan intends to launch his prestigious select committee investigation with a deluge of FBI whistleblowers. The original roster of 14 agents he bragged about in November has now grown to “dozens” of agents who have come forward to share their stories.
They “want to become public. It appears to us that the FBI has already retaliated against a number of individuals,” Jordan said, adding that some individuals have been suspended or had their security clearance withdrawn as a consequence for speaking with his office.
“One of them told our staff that at the top echelons of the FBI, the organization is rotten to the core. This man is a proud agent serving because he wanted to, and he now claims that his leadership is rotten to the core.”
Timothy Thibault, the former assistant special agent in charge of the FBI’s Washington field office, will be another name Americans will hear more about in 2023.
Thibault had previously achieved notoriety for allegedly sabotaging the FBI’s internal investigation into Hunter Biden prior to the election.
Jordan stated that one of his whistleblowers has identified Thibault as a force within the agency attempting to falsely designate cases as “domestic violent extremism” in order to fulfill the narrative Biden and this administration continue to propagate that half of the nation is fascist and racist.
Thus, we will communicate with this individual, Jordan added.
The chairman stated that he believes FBI Director Christopher Wray was not truthful with him at earlier committee hearings.
Jordan stated, “Chris Wray has repeatedly told us one thing, while the Inspector General has told us something different.”

Jordan and his Republican colleagues have used the Church Committee investigation from 1975 as a precedent for how they should conduct their own investigation. The Senate select committee led by Idaho Democrat Frank Church was entrusted with investigating intelligence community abuses by the deep state. Strongly bipartisan, the group comprised archconservatives such as Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater and liberals such as Minnesota Senator Walter Mondale.
Jordan acknowledged, though, that his select subcommittee would likely be more partisan. He was unable to identify a single House Democrat willing to collaborate with him.
Rep. Jerry Nadler, the ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee from New York, has already declared his opposition, comparing the group to the late Sen. Joseph McCarthy’s communist witch-hunting House Un-American Activities Committee.
“Before this committee was formed, Mr. Nadler stated that this was a political issue and that we will fight it tooth and nail, which I find frustrating because this is about protecting the First Amendment,” Jordan stated. It used to be that the Democrats cared about the First Amendment, and that frustrates me. I hope that they will have a change of heart and cooperate with us as we move forward.”
While the Church Committee led to major reforms, such as the late President Gerald Ford’s Executive Order prohibiting political assassinations overseas, Jordan will likely have to settle for more modest results.
He suggested that stripping security clearances for federal employees who are no longer on active duty would be a good place to start. “We will be examining some legislative changes that must be made to better protect American liberties,” he said. Jordan named the 51 former intelligence officers who wrongly labeled The Post’s coverage of Hunter Biden as Russian propaganda.
Jordan stated, “My guess is that the 51 former intelligence officers who signed the document that provided the basis for all the mischief and was used to alert Big Tech to be on the lookout for certain information were responsible for all the trouble. My guess is that all 51 of these individuals still possess security clearance. Why is that then?”
