A South Korean company has introduced the kosk, a mask that folds up over your nose when eating or drinking. According to The Washington Post, it was named using a combination of the words “mask” and “ko”, the Korean word for nose.
HOW THE KOSK CAME ABOUT
Atman, a South Korean company recently introduced the kosk, that is meant to make the process of eating and drinking during COVID-19 easier for the whole world.
The Washington Post reports that the word kosk, also referred to as a nose mask, is a combination of the words “mask” and “ko”. The word is also used to describe people who wear masks over their mouths and not their noses.
The term is also used to criticise those who don’t wear their masks correctly.

HOW TO GET YOUR HANDS ON THE MASK
Using the kosk is a simple process. During your day-to-day activities, you wear it as normal, over your mouth and nose. To eat and drink, you simply fold the kosk up over your nose and put it back over your mouth after your meal or beverage.
The unique creation is currently selling for $8 (R123) for a box of 10.

HOW THE WORLD IS FEELING
Some weighed in about the kosk on social media giving it some mixed reviews. One tweep thought the mask could use a slightly better design.
“This is satire isn’t it? I don’t think anyone would seriously use it lol,” wrote one tweep.
“Less sensible than outdoor mask mandates but more sensible than longer quarantines for imported COVID. Might I also suggest protective eye coverings?”
