According to the BBC website, hundreds of aficionados of the puzzle have gathered to Glasgow, Scotland for a three-day competition, competing in speed time trials against the clock and each other.
During the Covid epidemic, the modest cube is having something of a rebirth as a new generation takes up the puzzle.
