Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu recently ordered the Tactical Missiles Corporation, based in the Moscow region, to double its production of high-precision rockets.
During his visit to the corporation, Shoigu praised the company’s efforts in starting the mass production of superior weaponry.
Established in January 2002, the Tactical Missiles Corporation operates around 40 enterprises throughout Russia and produces both military and civilian products.
Its headquarters are located in Korolev, near Moscow.
The corporation is involved in the development of various guided missiles, including multi-purpose, anti-radar, anti-ship, and air-to-air missiles.
It also manufactures guided bombs, equipment, unguided missiles, target missiles, and weapons for the Navy.
In December 2022, Avril Haines, the Director of US National Intelligence, stated that Russia would face challenges in producing the required number of precision-guided missiles.
However, Sergey Chemezov, the director of Rostec State Corporation, dismissed reports in Western media about a shortage of Russian military shells as “total rubbish” in January of this year.
Rostec enterprises have since increased their production of military products by over 50 times as of February.
