Cinzia Ceravolo, a Ryanair flight attendant, was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Monday by a suspected drug user at Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport. Tragic tragedy.

Police said that they detained a 30-year-old male at the site of the collision on suspicion of inflicting severe harm while driving while under the influence of drugs.

After being interrogated by cops, he was later freed while still under investigation.

Cinzia, an Italian native who worked as an air hostess for Ryanair, had spent the previous five years living in the UK.

Prior to the deadly collision, she had just returned from a two-day business trip and boarded Ryanair aircraft FR448 from Dublin at 11.20 p.m.

Following Cinzia’s demise, friends and coworkers paid homage to her on social media.

The Ryanair cabin crew union, FRUnite, expressed its sorrow and sadness at the terrible passing of their former Equalities spokesperson in a message posted on Facebook.

The event happened on Monday night in Liverpool, close outside John Lennon Airport.

Cinzia was not only a superb representative and member of the cabin staff; she was also an ardent Doctor Who fan, a gorgeous human being, and the friendliest person.

She wouldn’t want a lengthy eulogy, yet writing one is difficult. She was great, is all we can say. She is amazing!

People who knew Cinzia also started an online campaign to assist her family, which has so far brought in little over £7,000.

According to a police spokeswoman, investigations into her death are ongoing, and authorities are eager to talk with anybody who saw the event or has pertinent video.

The “kindest spirit [and] a wonderful human being” has received praise from friends and coworkers.

Cinzia previously represented the union’s Equalities department, according to a statement from FRUnite, the union representing Ryanair cabin staff.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit’s Detective Sergeant Paul Evans stated: “This was a sad occurrence and our sympathies are with Cinzia’s family in what is such a difficult time.”

Anyone who hasn’t already come forward who thinks they saw anything or possesses dashcam video is urged to do so immediately.
