Niger state government in North Central Nigeria, has announced the successful rounding up of gangs of terrorists that invaded communities in Bida area of the state by security operatives.
The Niger state Commissioner of Local Government, Chieftain Affairs and Internal security, Emmanuel Umar stated this in a press briefing in Minna the Niger State Capital.
Mr Umar who further said eight of the bandits have been neutralised , explained that security and local vigilantes over powered them during a gun battle.
“They moved over to Lavun and Kutigi local governments and to the flanks of river Kaduna and up to Dabban community were the security operatives rounded them off”.
The Commissioner however ,advised people to disregard unconfirmed reports on insecurity across the state, adding that Government is committed to flushing out terrorists from the state.
