INGREDIENTS 227 g unsalted butter, melted until browned
320 grams of light brown sugar, tightly packaged
50 grams of powdered sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 big eggs, at room temperature
2 egg yolks
245 grams bread flour
1⁄4 tsp salt
210 grams of M&Ms
85 g chunks of semisweet chocolate
flaky sea salt, for sprinkling, optional
METHOD
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a 22-to-33-centimeter baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Continue cooking, sometimes stirring the pan, until browned.
Remove the butter from the heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes before scraping it into a large heat-resistant mixing bowl.
Whisk in both sugars and blend thoroughly with a whisk. Stir in vanilla extract. Then, incorporate the eggs and egg yolks using a mixer.
Fold in the flour and salt with a rubber spatula until barely incorporated. Lastly, incorporate the M&Ms and chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 26 to 30 minutes, or until the rims are golden and firm and the middle is slightly jiggly.
Cool for at least one hour in the pan before cutting. If preferred, sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.
