The Sony Music Group Global Scholars Program is an effort created to offer financial aid to students enrolled at authorized colleges and institutions in a variety of top-tier music and music business-related disciplines of study.
The Global Social Justice Fund of Sony enables this commitment.
The following are the program’s main goals:
To guide students toward graduation and to aid them in their college studies.
We strive to assist students grow and develop throughout their academic careers by offering enrichment activities and exposure to Sony Music Group’s music professionals and business.
To support the growth and development of a diverse talent population of young music leaders toward fulfilling employment.
Additionally, based on location and financial need, to assist in easing the financial burden placed on students from a variety of backgrounds throughout the degree program or after graduation, whichever comes first.
Eligibility for the Sony Music Group Global Scholars Program
Open to students who intend to enroll full-time in a recognized college or university degree program, including 3–4 year undergraduate degree programs, in the academic year 2022–2023 in order to pursue a career in music or a related discipline.
Applying for this scholarship requires that you keep your GPA at or above the U.S. equivalent of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
The academic record of a candidate must demonstrate the ability to excel in a college or university program in the desired music industry profession.
A need for money that can be proven.
While acceptance into a program is not necessary at the time of application, if chosen for a scholarship, documentation of full-time participation will be needed before the scholarship money is disbursed.
Benefits of the Sony Music Group Global Scholars Program.
A comprehensive package of scholarships will be offered by the Sony Music Group Global Scholars Program, including:
Up until the end of the degree program or upon graduation, whichever comes first, each student will receive yearly financial support ranging between USD $3,000 and USD $20,000 per student.
Tuition and fees, books and materials, living expenses, and transportation costs are all on the recipients’ dime.
Ongoing student advising services are provided for the life of the scholarship to increase the percentage of students who finish their degrees.
Scholars can update their own information and access materials through a self-service site.
The Sony Music Group Global Scholars may also be provided other chances, such as unpaid internship or mentorship possibilities, to advance their professional development in addition to the scholarship.

How to Apply for the Global Scholars Program at Sony Music Group
On Monday, July 25, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, the application will be closed.
An entire application that includes the following must be submitted in English:
filled out online application
An individual statement (up to 3,500 characters)
an estimate of the tuition and other expenses you might anticipate to pay to finish your degree programs in the academic year 2022–2023;
Two character references.
The letters must be written by someone who do not belong to your family and are well acquainted with you, such as your boss, scoutmaster, professor, employer, etc.
The school’s high school transcript and grade report (for applicants from the United Kingdom or Commonwealth countries, A level, O level, GCSE, or BTEC results are also acceptable).
Only submissions that arrive on time will be examined.
