Sophie Wessex’s late mother-in-law considered her a “confidante” and “second daughter.”

According to royal insiders, Sophie Wessex is expected to receive a number of the Queen’s royal patronages as a gift from her late mother-in-law, who regarded her as a “confidante” and “second daughter.”

The late monarch’s best friend, the Royal, addressed her as “Mama.”

The royal family has hailed Sophie, 57, for her commitment to duty while serving as patron of more than 70 charities and organisations.

She might become a patron of organisations like the Women’s Institute and Dog’s Trust, according to royal insiders quoted in the Mirror.

“The Queen and the countess had a tremendously loving and pleasant relationship,” one person said.

Her Majesty praised Sophie for having a calm sense of responsibility, a strong work ethic, and the manner she managed her public and private life. Additionally, they had a lot of similar interests.

The insider went on to say that their friendship is reflected in the Queen’s choice to give Sophie the patronages.

They also said that Sophie’s appeal with the general population was now obvious. Under King Charles’ rule, she’ll probably become more well-known in the public eye.

After the late Queen lost her mother and sister in quick succession, Sophie and the late Queen initially became close in 2002.

The insider said that the Queen had a high regard for Sophie and that they had a similar sense of humour.

Additionally, they said that she delighted in their banter and laughter, just as she did with her sister.

The passings of Sophie’s mother in 2005 and Prince Philip last year drew the Countess of Wessex and the Queen closer together.

The insider added that Sophie’s common sense was “welcomed” by the Queen amid the media attention that Harry and Meghan were receiving.

The insider also said that the Countess of Wessex had become enraged at the royal discoveries and could see how unhappy the Queen was about them.

Although Sophie is polite, the insider said that she was unsurprised to see Meghan riding in the same vehicle as her this week as they grieved Her Majesty’s passing.

In the week after the passing of her cherished “mom,” Sophie, who has been obviously distraught, talked to the Queen every day.

When Lady Louise and James Viscount Severn were small, their grandmother would visit them and sit with them as they watched CBeebies.

More recently, the Countess of Wessex joined the Queen for Saturday afternoon movie outings or dog walks.

Additionally, they often studied ancient historical records at the Royal Archives at Windsor.

Sophie and her family, who reside in Bagshot Park, spent the day in St Ann’s Square in Manchester with Prince Edward.

They saw flower offerings made in the Queen’s memory and lighted candles in the church in her honour.

Sophie was spotted cuddling up to a little kid named Josh who was carrying flowers and a stuffed army doll while wearing a Union Jack baseball hat.

After giving him a hug and placing the flowers in the square, she was subsequently spotted giving him another embrace before leaving.

The embrace made Josh very pleased, and Josh’s mother Sue was overjoyed to have met Sophie.

She claimed Sophie gave everyone a hug and had time for everyone, and she characterised her as kind and delightful.

The Countess of Wessex was described as genuine and affable by another audience member who met the royals yesterday.

Prince Philip and the Countess of Wessex had a strong friendship.

She had spent time comforting mourners at Windsor Castle after his passing.

She described to them his last minutes and how delicate and peaceful his passing was.
