Following an alleged attack in Newport, Shropshire, a special constable working for the Metropolitan Police has been accused of rape.
Paul Hoile, 40, is accused with two charges of oral rape, one count of anal rape, and a violation of Section 4 of the Sexual Offences Act.
He is scheduled to show up in court tomorrow for the accusations, which reportedly happened on Tuesday, July 5, in Lilleshall, Shropshire.
The next day, about 10.30 p.m., Special Constable Hoile was taken into custody and transported to Telford after being apprehended in Benfleet, Essex.
He is stationed at the North West Command Unit of the Metropolitan Police.
The West Mercia Police and the Metropolitan Police have reported the incident to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
The public is not at risk, according to the officers, but visible patrols have been stepped up across Lilleshall and Newport.
