Super Bowl Prediction 2023
According to CBS Sports, “This was the best possible Super Bowl matchup of the four possibilities entering Championship Sunday, partly because of the connections between the two teams — the Reid vs. Philadelphia and Kelce vs. Kelce angles — but primarily because it pits one ultra-reliable offense against another.
Mahomes and Hurts were the most reliable playmakers at their respective positions for the majority of 2022, and both quarterbacks should have excellent opportunities in this matchup. Mahomes will have a week to recover from his sprained ankle before returning to action, and Hurts will face a pass defense far more susceptible than San Francisco’s.
Clearly, the Mahomes-Reid group has been there and done that, so it is difficult to wager against them. But because the Eagles have been so well-rounded and have won in a variety of ways, we will give them a little edge. The Eagles triumphed 28-27. Odds: Eagles -2, Over/Under 49.5′′
