According to messages, Talulah Riley begged Elon Musk to “purchase Twitter then erase it” since it had become a “scourge of contemporary existence” and she wanted to join him in the battle against “wokeism.”
Riley, the billionaire’s second wife, was one of many famous people who got in touch with Musk in April when he revealed his intention to acquire the business.
In newly submitted court filings related to Musk’s legal dispute with Twitter, the messages were made public.
After attempting in vain to back out of the agreement, he offered to acquire the firm again for $44 billion on Tuesday.
Can you please purchase Twitter and then erase it, Riley wrote? The US is losing its mind.
Or might Twitter be bought and made to be radically free of speech? Twitter is where so much idiocy originates from.
Maybe purchase it and alter it to properly promote free speech, Musk retorted.
‘I honestly believe social media is the plague of contemporary life, and the worst of all is Twitter since it’s both a news stream as well as a social platform and so has more real-world status than TikTok etc.,’ Talulah, who was stored in his phone as TJ, retorted.
But radicals often employ it for mass-scale social engineering since it is so simple to abuse.
And the globe is being infected by this s**t. Please take action to counter woke-ism.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to assist!”
The St. Trinian’s actor, 37, wed Musk in 2010 following a quick ten-day courtship, but the couple eventually separated and then got back together in 2013.
The millionaire withdrew his divorce petition in 2014. Riley filed for divorce two years later, and the divorce was granted later that year.
Musk courted her by chatting about rockets when they first met at the London bar Whisky Mist.
In the new BBC documentary, Riley reflected on their initial encounter, saying, “My first thoughts were that he was quite kind, he appeared pretty bashful.”
He said, “May I place my hand on your knee,” and I replied, “OK, go ahead then.” I found the question to be pretty nice.
He answered, “I don’t normally do this, but I’d love to see you tomorrow, can we meet for breakfast?” she continued. We then ate breakfast.
And after breakfast, he invited me to join him for lunch, so we went to lunch. He then asked if I might invite you to supper.
“Then, one evening, I recall him asking if you’d want to return to my hotel room so we could watch rocket films.
And I said, “Well, I guess I’ll come back.”
And when we entered his hotel room, all he did was show me films of rockets.
The documentary’s first episode will debut on BBC 2 on October 12 in the UK.
Riley and Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who starred in Love Actually, started dating after meeting on the Disney film Pistol set.
Elon remarked, “We spent some time apart for many months to test whether absence made the heart grow fonder, and regrettably it did not,” at the time of their second breakup.
Musk has dated a number of beautiful women and last year ended his relationship with Canadian singer Grimes, with whom he had two children, Exa Dark Siderael (also known as Y) and X A-Xii.
Only in March 2022, when a Vanity Fair interview Grimes had conducted before their breakup was released, was the news of their separation made public.
She had previously told the newspaper that she “would probably refer to Elon as her boyfriend,” but she afterwards went on Twitter to admit that they had broken up.
Additionally, after Riley’s second breakup, he was briefly connected to Amber Heard when she ended her relationship with Johnny Depp in 2017.
He was formerly married to Justine Wilson, who is now 50, whom he met when they were both students at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada. They were wed in 2000.
In 2010, Talulah got married for the first time to the Tesla architect. Their first marriage, however, was annulled in 2012, and she is said to have received $16 million as part of the divorce settlement.
It was a very remarkable four years. I’ll always adore you. One day, you’ll make someone really happy,” he tweeted at the time.
They were remarried by the summer after.
But after filing for divorce a second time in December 2014, she later withdrew her claim the following year.
The couple, who had no children together, permanently parted in March 2016 after Talulah filed for divorce a third time.
‘We spent some time apart for many months to test whether absence made the heart grow fonder, and regrettably it did not,’ Musk told Forbes at the time.
“I still adore her, but I don’t love her anymore.” And I can’t truly fulfill her wishes.
Additionally, he described her as “a lovely lady” and promised to be friends with her forever.
He said at the time, “I believe it would be incredibly dangerous for me to leap into a third marriage without spending some time figuring out whether the third one would work,” when asked if he had any interest in getting married again for a while.
I never intended for my marriage to end quickly. I would essentially want to be quite certain before getting married again, but I would want to be in a relationship nevertheless. Of course.
