Tamara Dey releases ‘Disco Therapy’

Tamara Dey last put out music in 2020 when she collaborated with Mobi Dixon on her hit “Lock Me Up.” Now, in 2022, she’s back with a brand-new song called “Disco Therapy.”

Dey unilaterally published “Lock Me Up” in the midst of lockdown. She is attempting to create a fresh sound while being signed to the record company The David Gresham Record Company.

The dance track “Disco Therapy” is contagious.

IOL Entertainment was informed by Dey that her goal was to awaken everyone from their epidemic sleep and get them dancing.

“I’ve wanted to write music that is absolutely upbeat, incredibly melodic, and timeless. I believe that a lot has happened in the world recently, and I saw that I was gravitating more toward music that had all those qualities as well as being uplifting and therapeutic. “Disco Therapy” is built around this idea.

On the tune, Dey collaborated with RJ Benjamin and Gary van Riet. She is now collaborating with the producers on a song that is anticipated to come after “Disco Therapy” and her new musical approach.

Dey explained how she has always used music as a source of rehabilitation.

“My life has literally had a soundtrack for the good times and the bad, the highs and the lows.

“There’s a song that served as my therapy, a means for me to connect with others or to avoid feeling alone. It seems as if “someone out there gets me.” With this song, I truly got into that energy, and that is the power of music,” she remarked.

“I poured that energy and focus into making it, and it was really therapeutic for me. I’m hoping the vibe will stick with individuals and “Disco Therapy” will accomplish its goals.

The musician had surgery in August 2020 and spent the month in and out of the hospital.

She said she felt fantastic right now.

“I was extraordinarily fortunate. For many individuals who had the same health problems I did, the problems are often long-term.” Fortunately, my case of ulcerative colitis was more of an incident than the permanent diagnosis it is for most individuals.

“I had to have three significant stomach surgery since I was ill for a very long period. Over the course of two years, I was in and out of the hospital.

Dey found encouragement in support groups for others who had undergone procedures identical to hers and stomach cancer surgeries.

“I’m still a member of the support groups today because those folks never cease to inspire me. There is always someone else going through something just as horrible or worse than what you are experiencing. Maintaining contact with them actually gave me hope.

The performer is grateful to be back on her feet and performing after a complete recovery.

“I’m so happy to be back on stage, to perform for a crowd, to interact with people and see their faces and feel their enthusiasm.

“We were in lockdown, thank god for the internet, but nothing compares to simply staring into someone’s face on a dance floor and you just bonded with people,” said one participant.

Dey is one of many individuals who became enmeshed in the online community, with TikTok becoming as her closest companion. “I adore TikTok and have so much fun using it. ”

I joined TikTok for the first time during the lockdown and ended up falling in love with the site. Since we were stranded at home, I had plenty of free time.

“I was just having so much fun and it was a nice getaway from what was going on in the world around me,” I said as I began to acquire some fantastic momentum on the app.

The artist has 20 years of experience in the music business and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.

Dey is now working on a version of a song by one of her favourite musicians, Brenda Fassie, for her second single. She referred to it as “Afropop Futurism,” and her EP would have that sound.
