The police head of a Tennessee police department that was rocked by a sex scandal involving a married female officer who allegedly had passionate encounters with six of her coworkers has been sacked.
WTVF reports that La Vergne Police Chief Burrel “Chip” Davis was placed on paid administrative leave and subsequently fired on Monday after former officer Maegan Hall, 26, filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
In her complaint, Hall, who was recently terminated for allegedly having sex with six policemen while on duty, stated that Davis fostered an environment that encouraged wrongdoing.
According to the news source, the city hired a third-party investigator who discovered that Davis was aware of the illegal activities in his department but neglected to notify or penalize any of the implicated officers.
In addition, the assessment concluded that the chief hindered the original inquiry into sexual misbehavior.
Burrel “Chip” Davis, the police chief of La Vergne, Tennessee, was sacked in the wake of a sex scandal that shook his rural police force.

In a statement, Mayor Jason Cole said, “There are no words to express the anger and frustration felt by myself and other municipal leaders.
“Officers are held to a higher standard, and their chief even more so,” he stated.
We take the health, safety, and well-being of each and every employee at La Vergne very seriously, and a culture comparable to the one discovered in these investigations is unacceptable. We will continue to do what is necessary to do the right thing for our cops, municipal employees, and community.”
Monday marked the appointment of Deputy Chief Brent Hatcher as interim chief as the city launches a global search for the next top police officer.
Hall told investigators that she “broke” amid a painful divorce and had sex with the “stick their d— in anything” male coworkers.
She acknowledged to engaging in oral sex with Sgt. Lewis Powell, who allegedly threatened to kill himself by drinking a full bottle of Jack Daniel’s Whiskey and then crashing his car.
Hall, who told her coworkers she was in a “open marriage,” also admitted to having sexual relations with fellow officer Larry Holladay and a threesome with fellow officer Patrick Magliocca and his wife.
She also described how she attempted to seduce her husband into a sexual encounter with Sgt. Ty McGowan and his wife.
Following an internal inquiry, Powell, Officer Juan Lugo-Perez, McGowan, and Detective Seneca Shields were all sacked.
Magliocco, Holladay, and Patrol Officer Gavin Schoeberl maintained their employment, but were suspended.
Officials began investigating Hall and her coworkers after Cole got a report that she had slept with multiple colleagues.
