During the week of Monday, June 20th, there will be 12 energy supply disruptions across the City of Cape Town metropolitan region as the City continues its routine electrical infrastructure maintenance program. Maintenance will take place from Monday to Thursday, then resume on Sunday. On Friday and Saturday, there will be no power outages.
The City of Cape Town asserts that it is able to provide citizens with a dependable supply of energy through routine infrastructure maintenance.
“We encourage residents to always double check on the City’s social media channels to see if their area will be affected by the regular electricity maintenance during the week.
“Where customers are affected by supply interruptions due to normal maintenance, they should receive a door-to-door notice ahead of the planned work,” said the City of Cape Town.
