Julia Lemigova remains optimistic after learning that her wife, Martina Navratilova, has been diagnosed with two types of cancer.
Lemigova, 50, posted on Instagram on Monday with a photo of herself and the former tennis star, 66, with their puppy, “Thank you to everyone who has contacted out with messages of encouragement.”
She continued, “Together, we will combat this.”
Some “RHOM” castmates of the former model expressed their admiration in the comments section of her article.
“We love you both and have nothing but good thoughts,” Guerdy Abdaira wrote.
“,” Larsa Pippen added.
Together, we will combat this, remarked the former model on Instagram.
Earlier on Monday, Navratilova revealed that she is facing both throat cancer and breast cancer. She will begin treatment the following week.
The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion stated in a statement to the Women’s Tennis Association, “This double whammy is serious but yet fixable, and I’m hopeful for a positive outcome.” It will stink for a while, but I will fight with everything I have.
Navratilova revealed that she first observed an enlarged lymph node in her neck in November 2022, while attending the WTA Finals in Fort Worth, Texas. A later biopsy revealed stage 1 throat cancer, and additional testing revealed stage 1 breast cancer.
In 2010, the great athlete was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a lumpectomy.
Navratilova informed the WTA that she received a favorable prognosis this time as well, however she will not be working the 2023 Australian Open for Tennis Channel as scheduled.
Since 2006, Lemigova and Navratilova have been a pair. They became engaged at the 2014 US Open in September and were married in December in New York City.
