This Valentine’s Day, you should name a cockroach after your ex

The annual Valentine’s Day tradition at the San Antonio Zoo in the United States raises donations for wildlife in Texas and around the world. You are permitted to name a cockroach after your ex-spouse and give it to a zoo animal.

According to CBS News, the zoo is generating money for wildlife by allowing individuals to donate $5–$25 (R86–R430) and naming a cockroach after their ex-spouse. They will provide you with a digital Valentine’s Day card and inform your ex-partner that a cockroach has been named after them.

The newspaper also mentions that the Bronx Zoo has a “name a roach” program: “You can send your ex a tote bag or tumbler with a cockroach image, informing them that one has been named after them.”

According to News24, El Paso Zoo in the United States feeds roaches to creatures such as iguanas, skinks, and meerkats.

The Houston Museum of Natural Science also allows you to name a cockroach after an ex-partner, while the Florida Aquarium offers Valentine’s Day cards featuring roaches.

YOUNGFELLARUNTZ: “Alternatively, you can simply move on with your life without clinging to the past.”

GAYBOREDAPE.ETH: “This sounds like a very positive, non-harmful action.”

THAT ONE. .SIMP: “Some of you can find one in our kitchen instead.”

Shelbyville:

“As someone’s former partner, I would find this amusing if someone sent it to me.”

Phantomemperor:

“Or you can simply concentrate on yourself and stop dwelling on your ex.”

A roach does not deserve to be humiliated with an ex’s name, according to NUNN0Y.
