Monday afternoon, trackers, police, and homeowners are STILL looking for the runaway tiger.
Police have issued a RED ALERT as the escaped tiger is still on the run in Johannesburg’s Walkerville and nearby areas.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Sello, the tiger escaped its cage and attacked a 39-year-old man and a dog in the neighborhood after escaping its enclosure.
Still on the loose in JHB, the public is asked to be on high alert for a TIGER.
“Community residents are urged to remain vigilant following the escape of a tiger from a smallholding in the Kliprivier region on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
“For their own safety, the public is warned not to approach the animal.”
Additionally, a tiger attacked and killed an employee at the Seaview Predator Park.
Here is the most recent information regarding the tiger:
The animal was an adult female.
The large cat is the female half of a pair of privately owned tigers from Walkers Fruit Farms.
The tiger’s owner could not be determined at this time.
The owner asserted that the fence had been cut, allowing the animal to escape Saturday night.
