IPOB, the Indigenous People of Biafra, has revealed a surprising disclosure on why Nigeria’s Federal Government has continued to arrest their beloved leader Nnamdi Kanu just hours before his trial on February 2nd, 2022.
According to a report by Daily Post Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu is still being held by the Department of State Services (DSS) since he declined several monetary and property inducements to end the Biafra movement.
Nnamdi Kanu is currently facing treasonable and Terrorism related charges at the Federal High Court, FCT, under the Honourable Justice Binta Nyako after he was apprehended in Kenya, detained and repatriated back to Nigeria by international security agencies.
His next trial date has been slated for February 2nd, 2022, and he would be represented by a legal team containing the likes of his trusted Legal attorney, Ifeanyi Ejiofor including the newly added but well known and reputable Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Mike Ozekhome.
In a statement issued by Emmanuel Powerful, the Pro- Biafra group would reveal that, ” Their annoyance with our leader is his blunt refusal to take properties and monetary inducement offered him to abandon the struggle for Biafra liberation.
The Federal Government decided to hold our leader indefinitely to see if it can possibly infiltrate the ranks of our great movement and destroy it from inside while our leader is in custody” .
According to the group the FG is also relying on some undisclosed officials who the Statement went on to describe as Traitors who had promised the FG that they would assist in the evil plot of infiltrating and comprising the Secessionist group.
The group would conclude stating that the Biafra movement was now a Divine one began than any individual and while it might be delayed, it would never be suppressed.
