Twitter influencer Chris Excel questioned Trevor Noah’s achievements and if they had anything to do with ancestors or not.
He tweeted: “You will never hear Trevor Noah’s ancestors wanting him to slaughter a cow.
But he’s there rubbing shoulders with presidents. But our ancestors who never even left us chickens are demanding left & right”.
Trevor Noah was born to white Swiss-German father Robert and black Xhosa mother Patricia.
Other tweeps also questioned their ancestors – casually known as the “underground gang” – and if their luck was on the way too.
@masekosmangele: “I slaughtered 2 cows, took the money to buy myself a car with, and erected tombstones for them. It’s been 6 years I’m still a Johny Walker who’s renting, so[it’s not] right”
@MagnificentSha5: “It can be questionable at times. My late grandmother hated alcohol like a plague and yet am required to pour out liquor for her”
@neverbrvke: “I’m starting to thinking we’re slaughtering the wrong cows”
@DzunisaniMnis: “Trevor Noah’s ancestors are working overtime while mine and yours are sleeping”
@nozi03: “What’s so hard for them to give us Lotto numbers?”
