Two-Day Employee Wellness Training Programme Organised by State Auditor-General’s Office and Mosabaaj Consultant

The Office of the State Auditor-General, in collaboration with Messrs Mosabaaj Consultant, recently organised a two-day training programme called “Improvement of Work Ethics through the Employee Wellness” for members of staff.

The training took place at the LCCI Conference and Exhibition Centre in Alausa, Ikeja, and was attended by both management and middle-level staff auditors.

At the commencement of the training on Wednesday, the Acting Auditor-General, Mr. Adewuyi Moshood Adewale, emphasised the importance of continuous training and staff wellness in enhancing organisational productivity in both the public and private sectors of the country.

Adewuyi also noted that the training would help to bridge the knowledge gap between the management and middle-level staff auditors, thereby improving staff morale and productivity.

The facilitators at the training covered various topics, including mental health and wellbeing.

Victoria Ayo Daniel, a facilitator, advised the participants to pay more attention to their mental health issues and regularly check their blood pressure level to ascertain the actual state of their health and wellbeing.

She explained that stress response syndromes occur when a person develops emotional or behavioural symptoms in response to a stressful event or situation.

In conclusion, the training programme organised by the Office of the State Auditor-General and Messrs Mosabaaj Consultant aimed to improve work ethics through employee wellness.

The training covered various topics that would help enhance staff productivity, including mental health and wellbeing.

The Acting Auditor-General emphasised the importance of continuous training and staff wellness to organisational productivity, noting that such training would help bridge the knowledge gap between management and middle-level staff auditors.
