Multiple callers reported hearing gunfire in the 1900 block of 22nd Avenue South near the Beacon Hill neighborhood. The Seattle Police Department responded.
Officers arrived at roughly 23:00 and immediately began searching for any injured individuals. A 54-year-old male with life-threatening gunshot wounds was discovered by police near the scene of the shooting.
Police rendered emergency help until Seattle Fire Department officials arrived. When SFD arrived, they assumed responsibility for the man’s treatment and transferred him to Harborview Medical Center.
As cops investigated the location, a report of a second victim suffering from gunshot wounds arrived at HMC. Additionally, the 29-year-old suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound. This individual was possibly implicated in the shooting on 22nd Avenue South.
Officers sought for prospective suspects but were unsuccessful in their search. Police did discover a bullet-riddled vehicle, which was seized for further examination.
Detectives specializing in homicide will lead the inquiry.
