Two suspects in Rochester, New York were arrested after they allegedly stole a red Jeep at knife point from a 51-year-old woman.
According to Fox 5 New York, officers spotted the suspects driving the stolen vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop.
However, instead of complying, the driver put the vehicle in reverse, hit one of the police cars, and fled the scene.
A bystander named Raymond Gonzalez recorded the Jeep flying down the street in the wrong direction before crashing into a school bus carrying 17 children.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. The suspects abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.
In the video, police officers can be seen chasing one of the suspects and instructing him to “get on the ground” before eventually apprehending him.
The Rochester Police Department released a statement stating that the driver and all of the students on the bus were unharmed.
The school district was notified of the accident, and arrangements were made to transport each student home safely.
The suspects, identified as Maliq McCullough, 20, and Adeosun Hughes, 23, were both charged for their involvement in the incident.
McCullough is facing charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and third and fourth-degree larceny, while Hughes has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
