The search for missing actor Julian Sands, who disappeared on January 13 in California, continues with the use of aerial patrols.
AERIAL SEARCHES CONDUCTED IN SEARCH OF JULIAN SAND
Sky News claims that intermittent aerial patrols are being conducted in pursuit of Julian Sands. Typically, searches would be lowered within 10 days, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Earlier efforts were impeded by the weather.
Multiple land and foot searches for the actor have been conducted by local and state authorities. Reportedly, authorities have also utilized a Recco gadget, which can identify devices and credit cards. This was performed in an attempt to determine a more precise area in which to concentrate search efforts.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE ACTOR’S DISAPPEARANCE
CNN reports that the actor was reported missing from the Mt. Baldy region in California on January 13. Authorities said on Tuesday, January 25, that there was still no sign of Sands after discovering another missing hiker. The hunt therefore continues.
“The Sheriff’s Department’s search for missing hiker Julian Sands is approaching its second full week. A news release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department stated that many ground and air searches had been conducted.
“At this time, Mr. Sands has not been located, and no indication of his current location has been found,” the statement added.
The second hiker was Jin Chung, a 75-year-old Los Angeles native. He was discovered with “some weather-related injuries and a leg injury, but was able to walk out with the help of the crew.”
