Fans of the American singer and dancer Kehlani are excited about her coming in South Africa ahead of the yearly “Rocking The Daisies” event, which will take place from October 7 to 9 at the Darling Cellars vineyard on the West Coast, approximately an hour’s drive from Cape Town.
In May of this year, the platinum-selling Grammy Award-nominated singer released the music video for her latest hit, “Melt.”
“Melt” is one of the standout tracks from the R&B and neo-soul artist’s current album “Blue Water Road,” which debuted at number two on Billboard’s R&B Albums and R&B/Hip-Hop charts.
The 27-year-old expressed her enthusiasm about performing at RTD on Instagram.
Kehlani captioned a photo of the weekend lineup, which includes her name as the headliner, “IM HEADLINING @rockingthedaisies FESTIVAL IN SOUTH AFRICA THIS WEEKEND!” I simply cannot wait.”
The location, which showed that she was in the nation at the time she posted, added to the excitement of the post. Fans expressed their delight on the star’s timeline.
The first people on the list to greet Kehlani were singers Shekhina and Rowlene Bosman.
Rowlene posted: “CANT WAITTTTTTTT TO SING MY HEART OUT,” while Shekhina tweeted a sobbing face and a party emoji.
“WE. CAN’T. WAIT, THE FEAST IS READY!” wrote rockingthedaisies.
worldnadine wrote: “OH MY FLIPPEN WORRRRRDDDDDDY! WE’RE SHOCKED WITH EXCITEMENT.”
“SCREAMING CRYING!” added vuukiie. “I can hardly wait!”
After British electro-pop trio Clean Bandit, Kehlani was announced as the second foreign headline performer.
Blxckie, DBN Gogo, Will Linley, Sun El Musician, Focalistic, TxC, Sio, Matthew Mole, Aymos, Nasty C, Bambii, Lute, Joe Kay, Kid Fonque, and others are among the local bands on the bill.
The festival promises to be unforgettable from start to finish, with a different talent performing on stage each day.
The festival will also begin on October 9 at 9 a.m. in Johannesburg.
