Friday, February 4, 2022 – Deputy President William Ruto has warned President Uhuru Kenyatta against interfering with the August 9th Presidential election.
Speaking in Kajiado County during a Kenya Kwanza Alliance rally on Thursday, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, an ally of DP Ruto, said Uhuru will find himself at the International Criminal Court (ICC) if he tries to interfere with the August 9th General Election.
Murkomen further called on Uhuru to recall how the 2007 presidential election almost brought the country to its knees after the government tried to rig the election.
He also urged the President to remember that he was an ICC suspect after he was mentioned as among those who were planning the 2007-08 post-election bloodshed.
During the bloodshed, over 1000 Kenyans died, and over half a million were displaced, especially in Rift Valley and parts of Central Kenya.
