A serious crash occurred in the center of Swansea, leaving a young man fighting for his life.
The incident took place at approximately 9:35 PM on Friday at the intersection of Wind Street and Victoria Road, also known as Quay Parade.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the collision.
Details of the Crash:
According to a spokesperson from South Wales Police, the crash involved a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
The motorcyclist, a 23-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
However, he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The pedestrian, a 20-year-old man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was also transported to the hospital.
Appeal for Witnesses and Information:
Detective Sergeant Lee Christer expressed gratitude to the local community for their patience during the emergency response.
The road has since reopened.
It has been reported that a group of motorcycles were traveling together along Mumbles Road prior to the collision.
The police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, possesses dash-cam footage of the incident, or observed the group of motorcyclists beforehand to come forward with information.
