The CEO of Zoom has said that he will fire 1,300 workers, or 15% of the company’s workforce, and cut his own $1.1 million pay by 98%.
Employees were informed by Eric Yuan via the Zoom Blog that anyone affected by the layoffs would get an email on Wednesday.
Yuan wrote, “I know this is a hard message to hear, and definitely not one I ever wanted to deliver.”
This story is still developing as we await the actual layoff message.
