Marumo Gallants Add Rodney Thobejane to Coaching Staff
Marumo Gallants have bolstered their technical team with the addition of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Rodney Thobejane.
Thobejane joins the Motsepe Foundation Championship club following his coaching stint with SAFA Limpopo ABC Motsepe League side Ngwaabe City Motors.
A New Role for Thobejane
Thobejane has been appointed as an assistant to head coach Mpho Maleka, who recently took over from Steven Polack. Initially, the club had considered Willy Moloto and Papi Zothwane for the assistant coach role.
However, Moloto has opted to join Ghanaian side Real Academicals, set to be unveiled next week.

Zothwane, on the other hand, has joined Leopards as an assistant to Solly Luvhengo.
Marumo Gallants’ Announcement
“Marumo Gallants FC is happy to announce the appointment of assistant coach Rodney Thobejane.
He is reuniting with Mpho Maleka after working together in the past.
We wish him the best, and we look forward to the upcoming games,” the club announced in a statement on Friday.
Recent Performance and Squad Update

Under Maleka’s guidance, Marumo Gallants secured a 1-0 win against Venda FC on Wednesday, moving them to third from bottom with 19 points, three above Venda FC.
The club has also made some changes to their squad, releasing some players and bringing in new faces.
Former Jomo Cosmos and Black Leopards striker Themba Ndlovu has joined the team, along with former Orlando Pirates development defender Kenny Nthatheni, who has previously played for Polokwane City and Black Leopards.
Nthatheni was most recently with Venda FC but did not feature in any games.
Other New Signings
Marumo Gallants have also signed Dimakatso Mashao, Kagiso Mlambo, Sanele Khumalo, Thabang Dolo, and Thapelo Dhludhlu to strengthen their squad.

Marumo Gallants will next face high-flying Magesi FC at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark on Sunday.
