Tiger Woods is reportedly on the road to recovery after withdrawing from the Genesis Invitational due to flu-like symptoms.
The golfing legend, who was carted off the course after teeing off on the seventh hole, had been battling a fever, according to his manager, Rob McNamara.
IV Treatment
McNamara stated that Woods received IV treatment and is now “doing much, much better,” adding that he will be released soon.
Woods was later seen leaving the Riviera Country Club locker room after receiving his treatment.
Medical Episode
During the tournament, Woods began feeling dizzy, and doctors determined he was dehydrated and potentially had the flu.
McNamara clarified that Woods’ early departure was not due to his previous back issues but rather medical illness.

Golf Performance
Woods entered the day hovering around the cut line after shooting a one-over-par 72 round.
He started strong on Friday, birdieing the par-5 first hole, but struggled with bogeys on the fourth and fifth holes.
He appeared to be in visible discomfort during these struggles.
Speculation and Future Plans
Initially, there were concerns that Woods would leave in an ambulance, but this was later denied.
Woods was just above the cut line at two-over par and had hoped to make his first cut since The Masters last April.
His future participation in events leading up to The Masters in April remains uncertain.

Since his 2021 car crash, Woods has faced health challenges, including three withdrawals and one missed cut in six events played.
