Shaune Mogaila Sent to Train with DDC Side as Royal AM Contract Discussions Reach Impasse

TDPel Media –
Royal AM, facing challenges in contract negotiations with Shaune Mogaila, has decided to send him to train with the DDC side while talks continue.
This move comes as the club has struggled to reach an agreement with Mogaila, whose current contract expires in June.
Despite efforts to secure a new deal, the two parties have encountered difficulties, prompting Royal AM to take this step as they prepare for the second round of the season.
Challenges and FIFA Bans
Thwihli Thwahla, representing Royal AM, has faced a challenging campaign, largely due to FIFA transfer bans imposed before and during the season.
These bans were a result of the club’s failure to pay outstanding amounts to former players Samir Nurkovic and Ricardo Nascimento.
The first ban, issued in June of the previous year, was due to the club’s failure to pay R12 million to Nurkovic.

The second ban, issued in January of the current year, was a result of the club’s inability to pay R620,000 to Nascimento.
As a result of these bans, the team has been unable to make signings in the last two transfer windows.
Team Building and Promotion
Despite these challenges, Royal AM has been relying on the experience of their existing players, along with promoting several players from their reserve side, to strengthen the team under the guidance of coach John Maduka.
However, with the club’s future uncertain due to the ongoing contract negotiations and FIFA bans, Royal AM may need to make a concerted effort to retain their best players.
Player Interest and Club Focus
Mogaila, who has attracted interest from several clubs including Orlando Pirates, Sekhukhune United, and AmaZulu FC locally, as well as clubs from Egypt and Uzbekistan, remains a key focus for Royal AM.
Additionally, Thabo Matlaba is another player whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and his services may be crucial for Royal AM if they are unable to resolve their FIFA bans.
